Day 4- A habit you wish you didn't have
I know I'm like seriously SO behind on this thing but I refuse to skip ahead. I will do any and all of these things on any given day but I want to go in order.
My habit is EASY to talk about. I have this terrible habit of biting my nails. I know. It's awful. I hate it. I don't like doing it. It's like a nervous tick or something. Not a fan at all. People tell me to paint my nails...doesn't help. I chip at it and tear it off because it irritates me. It's just like something not so fun. I think the only benefits to it is whenever I play the violin and piano my fingernails never get in the way. Mostly because...they're nonexistent. hahaha.

Friendship is love with understanding -Proverb
Not pictured: Naomi Scherette and Morgan Bouwhis
Ok...so I totes love this picture. So much that it's Kayla's, Savanna's, and my profile picture. This was the day we went to the beach one Saturday and just had fun. So! This post is dedicated to my friends.
Let's start with Naomi. She's the newest member of our awesome group and heaven only knows how we ever lived without her!!! She is SOOOOOO funny! I love her random stories. She has a story for everything and they are all hilarious. I have learned never to cross her though. If you do, she'll probably run you over with a tractor...after she burns your house down. ;)
Morgan's next. I love Morgan. She is an awesome baker and likes to make sweets for every occasion. It's wonderful. She's wonderful! She always says the funniest things at the most random times. The punch lines to her stories just send me reeling for days. She is so funny and so sweet and I'm very glad she's always around with us.
Kayla. Oh my heck. I love this girl. She dawns the nickname the pun queen for a good reason. She's always good with a joke or a good laugh or anything like that. She can always make me smile if ever I'm down. She somehow has a picture, meme, video, tumblr link, or anything for every situation. She also has a movie quote for almost everything. It's insane. If ever my Facebook feed has been blown up, it's because of this girl. And I love it. I love her.
Savanna Jane. Oh where do I even begin? This girl is my duet singing partner for FOREVS! We somehow just fit together when it comes to duets. Duets for days. Something I'm extremely jealous of? This girl can pull off anything. I'm serious. She could wear a garbage bag and it would still look good. She is not really ever scared to speak her mind. Most of the time, it is extremely beneficial. haha. She is always good for a laugh, a picture, a quote, or anything funny. I love all of it.
I don't know how we all came together, but I'm sure glad we did. :)
(P.s. I'm sorry that I'm so far behind on this. I'll catch up eventually. haha)

Hey there...partner... -Brian Regan
Day 2- Nicknames
(I'm not off to a great start here. Day 2 I totally and completely missed. Whoops. My bad. So today we'll get two in. Look for one later!!)
Nicknames. Nicknames. Well I have a bunch courtesy of my family.
Keli- This one is the one I use when people don't know how to pronounce my name no matter how hard I try. Drop the Ma, and you've got Keli. The only thing that bothers me is half the time people pronounce it wrong...STILL! I end up being called Kelly most of the time. I'll keep trying to get my actual name in.
Mickey- I think this one helped with my Disney obsession too. My mother would just call me this for fun. haha.
Doodlebug orMickey Doodlebug- This one is courtesy of my mother also. I think. I don't even know where it came from but it now lends it's name to this blog URL.
I'm sure there are others...um...Missy Moo (courtesy of my Uncle Brian), Kay, Make-li (pronounced make-lee...it's spelled how it sounds!), and I'm sure there are more. haha. Basically you can call me almost anything. As long as I know you're talking to me, we're all good. haha. :)

Hi. My name's Makeli. What's your's?
Day 1- A picture of yourself and 15 random facts.
That's me. Unfortunately that's not a recent picture. It's just a picture. It's a picture that was over a year ago. It's crazy to think of! Let's jump right into these facts shall we?!
1- I am obsessed with Disney. I'm not sure if this is a random fact, but it sure is a fact. I do believe Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth. I do believe I can be a princess in Disneyland one day. I do believe in happily ever after. I can quote almost any Disney movie like the back of my hand. The only thing I can do better than Disney movie quotes, are songs from Disney movies. If you ever need any help with anything Disney, I am your expert.
2- I love the Olympics. I think this especially appropriate considering they are going on right now. It is so fascinating to me to watch these amazing athletes compete in a world competition. It's so cool to think of all the hard work they've put into what they do and to see it pay off. On the flip side, it's heart breaking to watch some of their dreams shattered when they don't reach their goal. It definitely gives me a sense of some serious USA pride. (Plus...there are just some good looking athletes competing. Holla Ryan Lochte!)
3- I am left handed. This is one of those facts I use in a "getting to know you on the first day of class" setting. I do almost everything left handed. I hate writing left handed because when I feel particularly lazy, I drag my hand across my writing and get ink and lead all over the side of my arm. It's awesome.
4- I love Country Music. Whatever anyone else says is irrelevant.
5- I love dogs. Especially my dog Sadie. No one else is as loyal as she is. She can always make me smile and feel better.
6- Cats are not my favorite. I know where this one came from. hahahaha. But even though my Dad may not be the biggest cat lover, I can say I definitely agree with him. Especially living in Hawaii. There are stray cats everywhere and they are KILLER annoying. No bueno.
7- I live in Hawaii and attend BYU-Hawaii. Does that count as two facts? I've lived here for about a year now. Weird... Anyways! I'm about to be a Junior. My potential graduation date is April 2014 and it pretty much can't come sooner. I really do love it here. It may be school but...it's in Hawaii. It's sunny for 9 months of the year, and rains the other 3. All around, it's exciting. I love the culture, the people, the teachers, the classes, the beach, the ocean, all of it,
8- I do actually enjoy sports. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Would I want to sit on the couch for hours at a time watching sports? No. (Unless it's the Olympics. Different story.) But a game here and there is exciting. Football with the family. Basketball games with the family. Soccer games with the family. While sports is a factor, the common factor here is my family. They are what makes it exciting and oh so worth it.
9- Music runs through my veins like blood. I love music. Everything about it. I love most genres and can put up with all of them. I love listening to music but being able to play music is much better to me. It's a way of self expression that is beyond description.
10- I like reading. There is something so good about curling up with a good book. I have too many favorites to name but some good ole Harry Potter or Jane Austin can always take an edge off. Yes. Sometimes I even read classic novels for fun. Call me a weirdo. So be it.
11- I have a perfect driving record. HA! That was for all of those people who wouldn't think so. I have never gotten a ticket, ran a red light, or got in an accident. Thank goodness I don't drive here in Hawaii. It takes some of the pressure off.
12- I have never broken a bone. I have had a concussion but never a broken bone. It's kind of amazing considering that I am extremely clumsy. I have most definitely had my fair share of bumps and bruises though. Those are definitely common.
13- I am kind of on the superstitious side. I'm not a crazy person with it though. But yes...I did knock on wood twice for those two random facts above. I throw spilled salt over my left shoulder. I believe in good and bad luck. But, I have never had a terrible Friday the 13th. (Knock on wood.)
14- I love to bake. I totally regret not taking more advantage of my mother's amazing cooking but serious baking skills. Who knew how much help it would be in college?! I have done some practicing so there are some recipes I have tucked under my belt. I will gladly challenge anyone to a baking contest.
15- I am contagiously happy. Not to say that I'm not sad or angry on some days. Because I am. We all are. But for the most part you can find me with a smile on my face. I love being happy. I kind of think that being a downer is a waste of time. (Unless it's one of "those" days. Then it's a different story.) I love to make other people smile and laugh. There's no other joy to me, than to see other people happy.
Day 1 down. 29 to go. :D

Blog Mania!
Ok so basically I was doing SO well with my 10 day challenge and then the last two days my life have gotten SO crazy and I haven't had time to do it. Sad day. But, on the upside...It's August 1st!!!! Let my 30 day blog challenge begin! Yay! So basically, there's a subject I blog about every day for the month of August. I've wanted to do one of these for a super duper long time but I never really liked ALL 30 days in a row .Some of them were stupid, some of them I haven't done or have nothing to say about. To do to do to do.
Day 8- Three things on your to do list.
I'm thinking life to do list. So here we go.
1- Graduate college- I love it here at BYUH but I don't think I could stay here forever. I'm not 100% sure on the whole "real life" idea either but I think I'm ready. I just want to start life. Live it. Get it going! A year and half left. Bring it.
2- Get married- Isn't this on most people's lists? haha. Not that I'm looking to get married like ASAP but definitely eventually. I'm almost 19 and if I can make it another year, I won't be one of those married teenagers. I'm sure my mother would appreciate that too. ;)
3- Learn how to surf- So maybe this isn't a huge like life list thing. But I live in Hawaii. I've been here for about a year....and still haven't gone. haha. I'm a disgrace!! I'm not sure if it's because no one will teach me or if it's because I'm a tad on the terrified side. haha. Either way, I don't think my parents will let me come home without at least trying it. Who knows?! I could be amazing!! haha.

Food!! Glorious Food!
Day 7- 3 Foods you love.
Crazy Saturday!!! This post almost didn't make it. haha. Instead of specific foods I'm going to take categories. :D
1- Italian food- I don't have a clue why I love Italian food so much but I do. Lasagna, pizza, ravioli, all of it. I adore it. It's SO good. I want to try real Italian food in Italy one day. Here's hoping!
2- Thai food- This one's a little weird too. I don't really do spicy foods. Actually...that's a serious understatement. Me and spice are so far apart we're practically antonyms. But for some strange reason I love Thai food! And it's like super duper spicy. I just think it's unique and really really tasty. I want to travel to Thailand for so many reasons, but definitely to go and try authentic Thai food
3- Chinese food- Thank goodness I finally learned now to use chopsticks because it would've been a problem if I didn't know how. haha. I love lots of things about Chinese food but I think the variety is my favorite part. There's just so much you can get all at once with Chinese food and then just have at it. It's so awesome.
Italy, Thailand, and China watch out. I'm coming to you one day to prove why I really love your food! :)

Every day I'm Shufflin'
Day 6: Three things you do daily.
(P.s. SO distracted by the Olympics that I almost forget this. hahahaha. YAY OLYMPICS!!!! :D TEAM USA)
1- Listen to music- I don't shuffle. I can't dance. No way no how. But I most definitely listen to music. All kinds too! My top playlist is probably the Disney one. No surprises there. A very close second is the country one though. Definitely. Music is life. :)
2- My homework- Yes. I attempt to be a good student contrary to common belief. Just because I live in Hawaii doesn't mean I go to the beach every day. I wish. haha. Sorry that this is one of those boring things I do daily. Blah. haha. (Sunday's are an exception. haha. Those days don't count)
3- Quote everything- Liiiike there's no tomorrow. haha. Every part of my life can be connected to a movie, TV, book, song lyric, etc. This whole blog is dedicated to quotes from the world. Pop culture and I go hand in hand. Play Catch Phrase with me. I dare you. ;)

Love is a many splendid thing!
Day 5: Three things you love
I thought yesterday was a long day. Hahaha. WRONG! But this should be easy! :D
1- Disney. I LOOOOVE Disney. If anyone is surprised please speak up now? haha. I am OBSESSED with Disney. I love everything about it. I love the old, the new, and everything in between. My favorite thing about Disney has to be the songs. Although I'm pretty darn good at telling you what Disney quote goes with what movie. Everything about Disney makes me smile. I wish I could spend every day at Disneyland. One of my dreams is to be a Disney princess at Disneyland! :D
2- Chocolate!!! I love chocolate. White, dark, milk, melted, solid, hot, cold, you name it. If it's chocolate, I'll eat it. My favorite type of chocolate are Symphony bars. Specifically the ones with toffee and almonds in them. Delish! My other favorite, less expensive chocolate. KIT KATS! Wanna make my life? Bring me a kit kat. We'll be best friends. :)
3- The beach! I adore the beach. I am super duper lucky to live in Hawaii where there's about 3 beaches within a 10 minute walk of campus. You know life is hard when the biggest decision you have to make is which beach you need to go to that weekend. I even don't really mind the sand...sometimes. I love the feeling of walking or running on the beach. The sand, the warm water, the SUNSHINE. All in all. It's an extremely charmed life. I have to admit it. :) For a melancholy moment. Here's a picture of me and a bunch of my friends at Sunset beach during Fall Semester 2012. Two of those guys are on a mission. The other two waiting to leave. One of the girl's getting married next month, the other is transferring to BYUI. And then there's me. Well...at least I'll have the BEACH! ;) (Miss y'all.)

Thank You
Sorry this is so late. Long day. haha.
Day 4: Three people who have changed your life
I'm not really sure how I'm going to come up with just three people but I guess I'm going to try. haha. I think I want to focus on three people who I miss a TON and adore even more. The four of us together is an unstoppable force of awesome. This post is dedicated to them. :)
1- Melissa Sue Anderson (the First): Where do I even begin? This girl! I just have SO many good memories and times together. It must have started when we were really young and she would sometimes come up to my house to play and we would always bake in my Easy Bake Oven. Then somewhere around our freshman year of high school we became bestest friends. haha. Between the bunches of classes we took together in high school, plus the hours of homework and play time we spent together, we've had some amazing memories. From a bowl cake, to chasing robbers, to movies, to Wii (with our eyes closed), to the Olympics, to playing games non stop with my mother, and beyond. She has taught me to laugh and find humor in everything about life. Thank you!!
2- Bergen Elizabeth Beesley: Seriously! I hardly know where to start on any of these!!!! haha. Bergen has to be one of the most creative people I've ever met in my life. It astonishes me! She is an absolutely baker too! Her creativity just seeps into her baking creations and it comes out as one awesome result. This girl also can quote Disney movies right up with the best of them. I could always count on her to answer my obscure quotes or even give me a few. She could also always light up a room with her laugh and smile. She always made me laugh. She's a hard worker and always strives to what she wants. She taught me to be ambitious and to keep trying for what I want. Thank you!!
3- Sarah Elizabeth Bennett: AH!!! This girl is just....amazing. I can't even! haha. She is one of the most wonderful people I know. She always has a smile on her face. I've never seen her be negative towards a situation or better yet, a person, in my life! It is astonishing and definitely a quality to be envious of! haha. She is just such an example to me and everyone around her. I always think "I want to be like Sarah when I grow up!" haha. And it's true! She's talented, smart, hard working, nice, loving, and so many other adjectives. Something else, she always has the best ideas for activities! We had a homecoming party, combined birthday party, Christmas party, Halloween party, and so many other things! I was never ever bored! She taught me to be an example. Thank you!!
I love these girls more than words can express. They've taught me so much and really have changed my life. :)
(I know I keep using this picture but it's my favorite one of all of us. hahaha.)

(I know I keep using this picture but it's my favorite one of all of us. hahaha.)

Let's Go to the Movies!
Day 3- Name 3 of your favorite movies.
Today has to be the hardest day! I have SO many movies I love so I'll try and do three. This could be interesting.
1- Princess and the Frog.
Anyone surprised? I have a Disney obsession. The one movie I think I'm obsessed with more than the rest has to be this one. I love Tiana. I love jazz music. I love the story line. I love every single glorious moment in it.
2- Pearl Harbor
I think what I love most about this movie is the memories I have watching it. Every time I think about it, a thought about one of my best friends Melissa Sue and my mother pop into my head. Pausing in the middle to run to Costa Vida after "the bombs come". But honestly. It's one of my favorite action meets chick flick movies. Plus the music is to DIE for. It's funny, it's sad (SO SAD), it's entertaining, and it's LOOONG. But all the more memories to make. Seriously. Go watch it.
3- 27 Dresses
Again, I think the connotation of this one goes back to my friend Melissa. I LOVE this movie. The first time I saw it, I was with her and my friend Kira and we couldn't get enough of it. I've probably watched it more than is healthy. Most of them with Melissa. I can quote every single line. The two of us like to have quote wars with this movie. The problem is, by the time we're done, we've basically quoted the entire movie. haha. My love for the song Benny and the Jets was greatly increased after watching this movie. I can't get enough of this movie. It's so wonderful. In need of a really REALLY good rom com? Pick this one. You can't go wrong. :)

Sing...Sing a song!
Day 2 of my 10 day challenge! And I didn't forget!! :D
3 songs you could play on repeat forever.
1- I'll Make a Man Out of You- Mulan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSS5dEeMX64
You cannot go wrong with some good ole Donny Osmand and a Disney movie. I feel like this song constantly comes up in my life randomly and it's just awesome. It can be sung and listened to until the earth stops turning and I still don't think I'd be sick of it!!! :D
2- Any Brad Paisley song. Ever.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhxO5990Opc
I know that there are people out there that don't like country music. I don't understand them and think they're mildly insane, but I know they exist. However, if they listened to Brad Paisley, I think they would change their minds. His lyrics are packed with humor, sadness, excitement, and so much more! Country music is life! And in this song: This is Country Music...and we do. :)
3- Somewhere Over the Rainbow/Simple Gifts- The Piano Guys
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzF_y039slk
I might be a tad biased towards this song. Firstly: filmed in Hawaii. I've been to that beach countless times. (Pounders. Just an FYI.) I've been to Kualoa Ranch. A ton of my favorite TV shows and movies were filmed there and now this AWESOME song. Second: I was in the audience when the Piano Guys performed this for the first time in front of an audience here at BYU-Hawaii. It was such a good way to end the concert. Talk about some easy listening. Whenever I'm stressed I listen to this song and watch this video and just feel more relaxed. So take a load off by listening to this song. Pretend your in Hawaii, on the beach, hanging out with me, and then try and tell me your day didn't improve a tiny bit. :)

I challenge you!
So...I've recently decided to get me to blog more I'm going to do some of those weird like challenges. I want to do a 30 day challenge starting in August which means I have 10 days to kill. So! I'm gearing up with a 10 day challenge! We'll see how this goes. hahahaha. Over the next 10 days (including today) I'll write about these things:
10 Day "Three" Challenge
10 Day "Three" Challenge
10. Three Strengths of Yours
9. Three Weaknesses of Yours
8. Three Things on Your To-Do List
7. Three of Your Favorite Foods
6. Three Things You Do Daily
5. Three Things You Love
4. Three People Who Changed your Life
3. Three of Your Favorite Movies
2. Three Songs You Could Put On Repeat Forever
1. Three of Your Biggest Fears
Shall we?
Day 1: Three of your biggest fears
1- Heights. I'm not sure where this one comes from. You know how people say the reason you're afraid of heights is because you're more afraid you'll throw yourself off? Yeah...no. I just don't like the feeling of being so high up and the possibility of not having anything underneath me. Not such a fan.
2- Spiders. I think this one comes from the fact that I'm a girl. Maybe. haha. Creepy crawlers in general are bad, but I think I put spiders at the top of my list. No way Jose!
3- Cockroaches. This one comes from living in Hawaii. I was told they would be everywhere and after a while they wouldn't freak me out. Wrong again! I don't see them everywhere, thank goodness. However, when I do see them look out. I still scream and jump up to higher ground. The worst is when they fly! It's like there's no escape that way!!! Ew.
Day 1 down. This might not be so bad. :)
Last Friday Night
What a fun weekend!!!!! It was an awesome way to kick start a new, crazy, but exciting 6 week semester. Friday started bright and early at the midnight premiere of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, with Savanna Jane, Kayla, Levi and Michael. I think if I'm ever to go to a midnight movie, these are the kids to do it with. We're not tired at all. It also helped that the movie was SOOOO good!!! I still think it's good and totally worth going to bed at 3:30 and when I roll out of bed at 7 for my class. The three hours of sleep keep me going through the 4 hours of classes and through my homework! It's a miracle. All of a sudden I think I'm about to hit "the wall". And then I do...hard. haha I crash for a couple hours and force myself to get up to go eat dinner with Savanna Jane and Kayla. My phone rings and Carly invites me to go to Papa Ole's with her and whomever else. Well...it was already a good day and to be honest, I'm getting really sick of caf food...and I have another 5 months before I get to go home to real food. (On a side note and a plus side IT'S ONLY FIVE MONTHS!!! EEP!!! :D) Anywho, I can't resist the sound of real food and a good time with some friends. So Kayla, Morgan, Carly, Levi, and I hop the bus and 7 minutes later we're in Hauula ordering delicious Hawaiian food. We sit down by the CUTEST little girls ever outside. They just want to chat about anything and everything. The youngest still in preschool, and the oldest about to start 4th grade. It makes me feel a tad old thinking in about 2 years I could get a job teaching these kids. My faith is restored when the oldest asks me what I was in college for. (She was astounded we were all STILL going to school. Yep....sorry kid, it never ends. Baha) I tell her I want to teach kids just like her. She looks at me and says "You're really cool. I'd want you to be my teacher." YES! Thank you little 9 year old girl. It's the biggest compliment a future teacher can get! haha. I stuff myself with some delicious garlic chicken, shrimp, rice, salad, and lava cake. YUM! We all talk for a couple hours as we eat and at the bus stop while also playing Catch Phrase. My brain is still a bit tired so I'm nowhere near as good as I normally am. I couldn't even get M&M right. Baha. Back at campus we aren't quite ready to split up. Savanna Jane joins us and we finish the night out with Beauty and the Beast. One of my all time favorite Disney movies. Saturday comes bright and early thanks to my body clock and the blasted construction outside of my window. I get a run in and then decide to play the piano for a bit. It's a seriously nice day and I can't pass it up so I get Kayla and Savanna Jane to come to the beach with me. We head for breakfast in the caf and then to Hukilau. It's one of those not-a-cloud-in-the-sky types of days. We swim, read books, eat goldfish, write in the sand, and just have such a good time. I seriously love these girls. We get back to campus and it's finally nap time! (My personal favorite part of the day). Around 4 I think I hear my name from somewhere but I'm in kind of in a half awake/half asleep mode. I listen closer and...no....I'm definitely hearing my name coming from somewhere. I look out the window to find Kayla and Savanna Jame creepin from downstairs. It made me a laugh so hard. They were hungry and so was I now that I got the chance to think about it. We eat dinner and then split up again. I get some reading done and other things. Yesterday Morgan had invited us to go play some games with some people in her ward. I was in. I love game nights! Savanna Jane, Kayla, and Morgan come and creep outside my window again. This time they aren't calling my name, but are making bird noises at me. Oh my friends are special indeed. Game night seems like it's going to be fun but is greatly increased when food is introduced to the mix. We eat and all just get a chance to chat and get to know each other. After pizza we decide to play Balderdash. I know I'm going to be terrible at this game. I definitely tried my hardest but tied for last place...with 4 other people. We chat for a bit more and then decide to play Catch Phrase. I am amazing at this game. Almost too good to be true. It takes me a few minutes to get warmed up but when I am, I basically take control and own this game. We play on teams for a while and break up to play individual for "funsies". Around midnight we know the building is about to close and we all should probably go to bed. Walking back to campus we talk about how much fun we had. This is the time of our lives. Laughing together, playing games together, and just spending time together. The night turned out a lot better than I had planned...considering my plan for Saturday night was to sit in my room watching LOST reruns. I'm exhausted and need to go to sleep but I can't wait for what's going to happen on Sunday. Hopefully every weekend will be as amazing as this one. I wouldn't mind doing it all again. :)

Summertime and the Living is Easy!
Well! 5 week break is over. It's official. What did I do over the break? A whole lot of nothing. And it was GREAT! Lots of sunshine, beach, and friends. True, there was some work in there somewhere! haha. I just can't believe it's over! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get back into the swing of things, but my body clock thought differently. I woke myself up at 6:30, got ready, and actually got to the caf at 7:00. Good thing I left around 7:20 to find my classroom because it took me almost the whole 10 minutes. I wandered around the McKay building until I finally stumbled on my classroom on accident. Thank goodness for that. I have to admit I'm so excited for my English class. Real English books!!!! It can't be worse than my other class. True, we're reading a book a week practically but it's great stuff. Super duper pumped. My music class is going to be interesting. Fingers crossed that I have the ability to test out of it. If I can't...I'll just be the nerdy kid who knows everything. The other awesome thing is NO classes Tuesdays and Thursdays! I get to spend them reading for my English class. Sounds good to me! I'm extremely optimistic about this 6 week semester. It's going to be great. Wish me luck! :D

School's Out for Summer
I WISH! haha. Today, the 2012 class of Woods Cross High School...graduated. I've been out of high school for a year...I'm a week away from finishing my 3rd semester of college...and I feel OLD. I'm basically the same age as a lot of the kids that graduated today yet, I feel years older. I need something to restore my youth. haha. I sit in my room working away at homework, work projects, church callings, and other things. It was kind of a crude realization that the "real world" I was thinking wasn't going to come to me for a while...was what I was living in now. I was staring at my wall and on it is a picture of me and my three bestest friends in the entire world (see below). We've all been out for a year. Our senior year was more than I could've ever imagined. We had some amazing times together and I think about them and miss them every day. But...truth is...I don't talk to them as much as I want. As much as I thought I would. As much as I should. OI. I live in Hawaii...there's a beach like 7 minutes from here...and I need to go to it. Some "real world" relaxation time. ;)

Déjà vu
So lately this totally weird thing has been happening to me.
Everywhere I turn, I think I see someone from back home. The other day I
thought I saw my friend Sara LeCheminant. She had the walk, and was wearing
this plaid green shirt and I almost yelled out to her and ran over there. The
girl turned and talked to her friend and only then I could see that it wasn't
Sara. Then later that day I was walking back to my room after lunch and
could've sworn I saw my neighbor Robyn! I was SO ecstatic that this time I did
kind of pick up my pace. But when the lady turned the corner it definitely
wasn't her and my brain was kind of freaking out. I've seen my cousin Rebecca,
my friends Bergen and Sam, and my Aunt Cynthia all within last week. Man, I seriously need
some face time with my friends and family so I can stop seeing them everywhere.
Or better yet, they could all just come to Hawaii!! ;)

Have you laughed today?
This last week was extremely stressful for me. I was sick, I
felt like I had a ton of responsibilities and felt like I had no time to get
them all done, and it was only the second week of summer semester. So, by the
time that Friday rolled around, I was so grateful. I was on call that night
with Becca and it gave me some time to relax. When all was done, the two of us
were stuck in the office on a Friday night until 10 pm with not much to do.
Becca suggested we watch this funny video she found online. She told me it was
like an hour of these pranks people were pulling. They were just gags on
strangers but they were hilarious. And it really was an hour long! We laughed
for SO long. We just kept finding funny videos to watch to make the time go by.
When we were done for the night, I couldn't help but continue to smile for the
rest of the night. So, if you need a good laugh, here's a five minute video just
for you. :)

Some Assembly Required
Ok. So I
know the whole world is raving about The Avengers movie, but I live on this
planet too and I'm about to rave about it. J I loved this movie.
Like loved loved loved!! It was SO good! I was even expecting a lot because of
the trailers, and it definitely exceeded my expectations! Let me just chat
about this movie for a minute.
I was not
expecting it to be so funny!! Oh my goodness! It was hilarious! Everyone had
funny lines! And it seemed like they just kept coming! I think I was laughing
for the majority of the movie! I think I might've missed some serious plots
points because I still was laughing about the scene before. It's not that I'm
slow or anything…ok it was midnight so maybe, but my funny bone was just so
tickled!
The men in
this movie. Good heavens! I haven't seen that many attractive men in one movie
since the Oceans movies!! And I love those movies! They put like one attractive
woman in there. And mind you, Scarlett Johansen did an absolutely amazing job
as Black Widow. She was awesome! But, let's be honest, every guy in there was
drooling over her. Naturally! Yet, they stick like…five of the most attractive
men on this planet and expect us girls to pick a side! Oh come on! Let's talk
about them now! My favorite part in all reality. ;)
First, Mark
Ruffalo. Honestly, I had to IMDB his name because I didn't know who he was. The
entire time I kept thinking to myself, 13 going on 30 guy. And MAN! He stole
the show superhero wise for me. I was not the biggest fan of either of the Hulk
movies. I didn't like the actors or something like that, but it definitely
wasn't my favorite. But the way Ruffalo played Dr. Banner was so good! Such
inner conflict just to turn out to be an awesome giant green monster thing! Amazing.
But, he couldn't really hold a candle to the other guys.
Next, I
ADORE Robert Downy Jr. Iron Man was probably my favorite movie of all the
Avengers by itself. There were two of them, and they both were good. He had the
best lines, the best look, and some of the best action scenes. This man is
brilliant. I loved him, but he wasn't quite my favorite. Don't get me wrong.
They're all extremely close in my book but I think he took a back seat for me
compared to the other people.
Only a few
points ahead of this guy is Chris Evans. Aka- Captain America. I only have one
question: Why didn't he get more face time?! Captain America was supposed to be
like one of the founders of the Avengers, and he hardly had anything to do with
it! But, I have to say, every time Chris Evans face was on screen it was
definitely good face time for me. I just think he's super duper cute. haha.
Chris
Hemsworth or Thor, falls at the top of my movie superhero people who got their
own movies. Sure I might be a teeny tiny bit bias to the fact that his man was
born on August 11th which just happens to be my birthday too. Even
if it was 10 years apart, let's be honest, anyone that's born on that day is
basically my favorite person ever. The coolest, most talented, people are born
on this day. ;) PLUS, this guy is smoking
hot! I loved the movie Thor too. He just plays a pompous god like figure so
good. I am such a fan.
Now, my
personal favorite was Jeremy Renner. AKA Hawkeye. Don't ask me why. I honestly
have no idea why I'm such a fan, but I am. haha. I think it all started with
Pink's music video "Trouble." I'm not the biggest Pink fan but when I
saw this music video, Jeremy Renner was like the only thing I could focus on. Also,
I remembered him from the newest Mission Impossible movie. Ghost Protocol! Man,
that movie was good too. But my favorite part was Jeremy Renner's character! I
don't know if it's because he's a good actor or because he's pretty, but either
way he's my number one from this movie, and essentially a whole bunch of other
movies to come. He's going to be in the new Bourne movie. (Bourne Legacy), and
you can bet your bottom dollar I'm looking forward to that one!
All in all,
I'm definitely a hard core Avengers fan. I seriously want to see it again, I
want to buy it when it comes out on DVD, and I want to know everything about
this movie, the comics, and more. I think I've just graduated into the super
nerd club, and I'm so excited. :D
