Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head

Ok…so I've basically been horrible at posting things because life has gotten SO crazy. But I wrote this one a few weeks ago and I figured it was worth sharing. :)

No...seriously. It's been raining for like a week. Practically straight up too. It occasionally will stop but it's still cloudy and gloomy and depressing. It's ridiculous how much a little ray of sunshine made me so excited this morning. It's pretty much warm, except at night when it gets really cold and I end up in fuzzy socks, a sweatshirt, and a couple blankets. It's kind of ridiculous. Everything shuts down around town too. I guess it makes sense considering that it's been flooding everything out, but it makes it super boring. With this kind of weather, I hardly ever leave my room. I only leave for classes and to eat food in dire circumstances. If I do leave I bring an umbrella and go barefoot. It could be sprinkling one minute and then pouring the next. It's so bipolar. I do seem to find some fun times during the gloomy ones. Like the time they decided to cancel classes! True, it was due to all the extreme and heavy rain but still…NO SCHOOL! For me at least. Some people's crazy teachers still told them to go. Psychos. Then there was the other time that Hale 5 completely flooded…ok it was the same day. But, I most definitely learned the beauty of sisterhood and teamwork as a lot of us gathered garbage cans and made a huge assembly line to haul all the water out. We were soaked, dirty, tired, and so very happy. There was some damage to some girl's rooms but luckily it was nothing bad. Someone put up a picture of the stake center on campus reflected on the flooded field. (Also known as the BYU-Hawaii Lake) The picture was absolutely stunning. So even in all the gloom, there really is beauty all around.
