Day 8- Three things on your to do list.
I'm thinking life to do list. So here we go.
1- Graduate college- I love it here at BYUH but I don't think I could stay here forever. I'm not 100% sure on the whole "real life" idea either but I think I'm ready. I just want to start life. Live it. Get it going! A year and half left. Bring it.
2- Get married- Isn't this on most people's lists? haha. Not that I'm looking to get married like ASAP but definitely eventually. I'm almost 19 and if I can make it another year, I won't be one of those married teenagers. I'm sure my mother would appreciate that too. ;)
3- Learn how to surf- So maybe this isn't a huge like life list thing. But I live in Hawaii. I've been here for about a year....and still haven't gone. haha. I'm a disgrace!! I'm not sure if it's because no one will teach me or if it's because I'm a tad on the terrified side. haha. Either way, I don't think my parents will let me come home without at least trying it. Who knows?! I could be amazing!! haha.

Food!! Glorious Food!
Day 7- 3 Foods you love.
Crazy Saturday!!! This post almost didn't make it. haha. Instead of specific foods I'm going to take categories. :D
1- Italian food- I don't have a clue why I love Italian food so much but I do. Lasagna, pizza, ravioli, all of it. I adore it. It's SO good. I want to try real Italian food in Italy one day. Here's hoping!
2- Thai food- This one's a little weird too. I don't really do spicy foods. Actually...that's a serious understatement. Me and spice are so far apart we're practically antonyms. But for some strange reason I love Thai food! And it's like super duper spicy. I just think it's unique and really really tasty. I want to travel to Thailand for so many reasons, but definitely to go and try authentic Thai food
3- Chinese food- Thank goodness I finally learned now to use chopsticks because it would've been a problem if I didn't know how. haha. I love lots of things about Chinese food but I think the variety is my favorite part. There's just so much you can get all at once with Chinese food and then just have at it. It's so awesome.
Italy, Thailand, and China watch out. I'm coming to you one day to prove why I really love your food! :)

Every day I'm Shufflin'
Day 6: Three things you do daily.
(P.s. SO distracted by the Olympics that I almost forget this. hahahaha. YAY OLYMPICS!!!! :D TEAM USA)
1- Listen to music- I don't shuffle. I can't dance. No way no how. But I most definitely listen to music. All kinds too! My top playlist is probably the Disney one. No surprises there. A very close second is the country one though. Definitely. Music is life. :)
2- My homework- Yes. I attempt to be a good student contrary to common belief. Just because I live in Hawaii doesn't mean I go to the beach every day. I wish. haha. Sorry that this is one of those boring things I do daily. Blah. haha. (Sunday's are an exception. haha. Those days don't count)
3- Quote everything- Liiiike there's no tomorrow. haha. Every part of my life can be connected to a movie, TV, book, song lyric, etc. This whole blog is dedicated to quotes from the world. Pop culture and I go hand in hand. Play Catch Phrase with me. I dare you. ;)

Love is a many splendid thing!
Day 5: Three things you love
I thought yesterday was a long day. Hahaha. WRONG! But this should be easy! :D
1- Disney. I LOOOOVE Disney. If anyone is surprised please speak up now? haha. I am OBSESSED with Disney. I love everything about it. I love the old, the new, and everything in between. My favorite thing about Disney has to be the songs. Although I'm pretty darn good at telling you what Disney quote goes with what movie. Everything about Disney makes me smile. I wish I could spend every day at Disneyland. One of my dreams is to be a Disney princess at Disneyland! :D
2- Chocolate!!! I love chocolate. White, dark, milk, melted, solid, hot, cold, you name it. If it's chocolate, I'll eat it. My favorite type of chocolate are Symphony bars. Specifically the ones with toffee and almonds in them. Delish! My other favorite, less expensive chocolate. KIT KATS! Wanna make my life? Bring me a kit kat. We'll be best friends. :)
3- The beach! I adore the beach. I am super duper lucky to live in Hawaii where there's about 3 beaches within a 10 minute walk of campus. You know life is hard when the biggest decision you have to make is which beach you need to go to that weekend. I even don't really mind the sand...sometimes. I love the feeling of walking or running on the beach. The sand, the warm water, the SUNSHINE. All in all. It's an extremely charmed life. I have to admit it. :) For a melancholy moment. Here's a picture of me and a bunch of my friends at Sunset beach during Fall Semester 2012. Two of those guys are on a mission. The other two waiting to leave. One of the girl's getting married next month, the other is transferring to BYUI. And then there's me. Well...at least I'll have the BEACH! ;) (Miss y'all.)

Thank You
Sorry this is so late. Long day. haha.
Day 4: Three people who have changed your life
I'm not really sure how I'm going to come up with just three people but I guess I'm going to try. haha. I think I want to focus on three people who I miss a TON and adore even more. The four of us together is an unstoppable force of awesome. This post is dedicated to them. :)
1- Melissa Sue Anderson (the First): Where do I even begin? This girl! I just have SO many good memories and times together. It must have started when we were really young and she would sometimes come up to my house to play and we would always bake in my Easy Bake Oven. Then somewhere around our freshman year of high school we became bestest friends. haha. Between the bunches of classes we took together in high school, plus the hours of homework and play time we spent together, we've had some amazing memories. From a bowl cake, to chasing robbers, to movies, to Wii (with our eyes closed), to the Olympics, to playing games non stop with my mother, and beyond. She has taught me to laugh and find humor in everything about life. Thank you!!
2- Bergen Elizabeth Beesley: Seriously! I hardly know where to start on any of these!!!! haha. Bergen has to be one of the most creative people I've ever met in my life. It astonishes me! She is an absolutely baker too! Her creativity just seeps into her baking creations and it comes out as one awesome result. This girl also can quote Disney movies right up with the best of them. I could always count on her to answer my obscure quotes or even give me a few. She could also always light up a room with her laugh and smile. She always made me laugh. She's a hard worker and always strives to what she wants. She taught me to be ambitious and to keep trying for what I want. Thank you!!
3- Sarah Elizabeth Bennett: AH!!! This girl is just....amazing. I can't even! haha. She is one of the most wonderful people I know. She always has a smile on her face. I've never seen her be negative towards a situation or better yet, a person, in my life! It is astonishing and definitely a quality to be envious of! haha. She is just such an example to me and everyone around her. I always think "I want to be like Sarah when I grow up!" haha. And it's true! She's talented, smart, hard working, nice, loving, and so many other adjectives. Something else, she always has the best ideas for activities! We had a homecoming party, combined birthday party, Christmas party, Halloween party, and so many other things! I was never ever bored! She taught me to be an example. Thank you!!
I love these girls more than words can express. They've taught me so much and really have changed my life. :)

Let's Go to the Movies!
Day 3- Name 3 of your favorite movies.
Today has to be the hardest day! I have SO many movies I love so I'll try and do three. This could be interesting.
1- Princess and the Frog.
Anyone surprised? I have a Disney obsession. The one movie I think I'm obsessed with more than the rest has to be this one. I love Tiana. I love jazz music. I love the story line. I love every single glorious moment in it.
2- Pearl Harbor
I think what I love most about this movie is the memories I have watching it. Every time I think about it, a thought about one of my best friends Melissa Sue and my mother pop into my head. Pausing in the middle to run to Costa Vida after "the bombs come". But honestly. It's one of my favorite action meets chick flick movies. Plus the music is to DIE for. It's funny, it's sad (SO SAD), it's entertaining, and it's LOOONG. But all the more memories to make. Seriously. Go watch it.
3- 27 Dresses
Again, I think the connotation of this one goes back to my friend Melissa. I LOVE this movie. The first time I saw it, I was with her and my friend Kira and we couldn't get enough of it. I've probably watched it more than is healthy. Most of them with Melissa. I can quote every single line. The two of us like to have quote wars with this movie. The problem is, by the time we're done, we've basically quoted the entire movie. haha. My love for the song Benny and the Jets was greatly increased after watching this movie. I can't get enough of this movie. It's so wonderful. In need of a really REALLY good rom com? Pick this one. You can't go wrong. :)

Sing...Sing a song!
Day 2 of my 10 day challenge! And I didn't forget!! :D
3 songs you could play on repeat forever.
1- I'll Make a Man Out of You- Mulan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSS5dEeMX64
You cannot go wrong with some good ole Donny Osmand and a Disney movie. I feel like this song constantly comes up in my life randomly and it's just awesome. It can be sung and listened to until the earth stops turning and I still don't think I'd be sick of it!!! :D
2- Any Brad Paisley song. Ever.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhxO5990Opc
I know that there are people out there that don't like country music. I don't understand them and think they're mildly insane, but I know they exist. However, if they listened to Brad Paisley, I think they would change their minds. His lyrics are packed with humor, sadness, excitement, and so much more! Country music is life! And in this song: This is Country Music...and we do. :)
3- Somewhere Over the Rainbow/Simple Gifts- The Piano Guys
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzF_y039slk
I might be a tad biased towards this song. Firstly: filmed in Hawaii. I've been to that beach countless times. (Pounders. Just an FYI.) I've been to Kualoa Ranch. A ton of my favorite TV shows and movies were filmed there and now this AWESOME song. Second: I was in the audience when the Piano Guys performed this for the first time in front of an audience here at BYU-Hawaii. It was such a good way to end the concert. Talk about some easy listening. Whenever I'm stressed I listen to this song and watch this video and just feel more relaxed. So take a load off by listening to this song. Pretend your in Hawaii, on the beach, hanging out with me, and then try and tell me your day didn't improve a tiny bit. :)

I challenge you!
So...I've recently decided to get me to blog more I'm going to do some of those weird like challenges. I want to do a 30 day challenge starting in August which means I have 10 days to kill. So! I'm gearing up with a 10 day challenge! We'll see how this goes. hahahaha. Over the next 10 days (including today) I'll write about these things:
10 Day "Three" Challenge
10 Day "Three" Challenge
10. Three Strengths of Yours
9. Three Weaknesses of Yours
8. Three Things on Your To-Do List
7. Three of Your Favorite Foods
6. Three Things You Do Daily
5. Three Things You Love
4. Three People Who Changed your Life
3. Three of Your Favorite Movies
2. Three Songs You Could Put On Repeat Forever
1. Three of Your Biggest Fears
Shall we?
Day 1: Three of your biggest fears
1- Heights. I'm not sure where this one comes from. You know how people say the reason you're afraid of heights is because you're more afraid you'll throw yourself off? Yeah...no. I just don't like the feeling of being so high up and the possibility of not having anything underneath me. Not such a fan.
2- Spiders. I think this one comes from the fact that I'm a girl. Maybe. haha. Creepy crawlers in general are bad, but I think I put spiders at the top of my list. No way Jose!
3- Cockroaches. This one comes from living in Hawaii. I was told they would be everywhere and after a while they wouldn't freak me out. Wrong again! I don't see them everywhere, thank goodness. However, when I do see them look out. I still scream and jump up to higher ground. The worst is when they fly! It's like there's no escape that way!!! Ew.
Day 1 down. This might not be so bad. :)
Last Friday Night
What a fun weekend!!!!! It was an awesome way to kick start a new, crazy, but exciting 6 week semester. Friday started bright and early at the midnight premiere of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, with Savanna Jane, Kayla, Levi and Michael. I think if I'm ever to go to a midnight movie, these are the kids to do it with. We're not tired at all. It also helped that the movie was SOOOO good!!! I still think it's good and totally worth going to bed at 3:30 and when I roll out of bed at 7 for my class. The three hours of sleep keep me going through the 4 hours of classes and through my homework! It's a miracle. All of a sudden I think I'm about to hit "the wall". And then I do...hard. haha I crash for a couple hours and force myself to get up to go eat dinner with Savanna Jane and Kayla. My phone rings and Carly invites me to go to Papa Ole's with her and whomever else. Well...it was already a good day and to be honest, I'm getting really sick of caf food...and I have another 5 months before I get to go home to real food. (On a side note and a plus side IT'S ONLY FIVE MONTHS!!! EEP!!! :D) Anywho, I can't resist the sound of real food and a good time with some friends. So Kayla, Morgan, Carly, Levi, and I hop the bus and 7 minutes later we're in Hauula ordering delicious Hawaiian food. We sit down by the CUTEST little girls ever outside. They just want to chat about anything and everything. The youngest still in preschool, and the oldest about to start 4th grade. It makes me feel a tad old thinking in about 2 years I could get a job teaching these kids. My faith is restored when the oldest asks me what I was in college for. (She was astounded we were all STILL going to school. Yep....sorry kid, it never ends. Baha) I tell her I want to teach kids just like her. She looks at me and says "You're really cool. I'd want you to be my teacher." YES! Thank you little 9 year old girl. It's the biggest compliment a future teacher can get! haha. I stuff myself with some delicious garlic chicken, shrimp, rice, salad, and lava cake. YUM! We all talk for a couple hours as we eat and at the bus stop while also playing Catch Phrase. My brain is still a bit tired so I'm nowhere near as good as I normally am. I couldn't even get M&M right. Baha. Back at campus we aren't quite ready to split up. Savanna Jane joins us and we finish the night out with Beauty and the Beast. One of my all time favorite Disney movies. Saturday comes bright and early thanks to my body clock and the blasted construction outside of my window. I get a run in and then decide to play the piano for a bit. It's a seriously nice day and I can't pass it up so I get Kayla and Savanna Jane to come to the beach with me. We head for breakfast in the caf and then to Hukilau. It's one of those not-a-cloud-in-the-sky types of days. We swim, read books, eat goldfish, write in the sand, and just have such a good time. I seriously love these girls. We get back to campus and it's finally nap time! (My personal favorite part of the day). Around 4 I think I hear my name from somewhere but I'm in kind of in a half awake/half asleep mode. I listen closer and...no....I'm definitely hearing my name coming from somewhere. I look out the window to find Kayla and Savanna Jame creepin from downstairs. It made me a laugh so hard. They were hungry and so was I now that I got the chance to think about it. We eat dinner and then split up again. I get some reading done and other things. Yesterday Morgan had invited us to go play some games with some people in her ward. I was in. I love game nights! Savanna Jane, Kayla, and Morgan come and creep outside my window again. This time they aren't calling my name, but are making bird noises at me. Oh my friends are special indeed. Game night seems like it's going to be fun but is greatly increased when food is introduced to the mix. We eat and all just get a chance to chat and get to know each other. After pizza we decide to play Balderdash. I know I'm going to be terrible at this game. I definitely tried my hardest but tied for last place...with 4 other people. We chat for a bit more and then decide to play Catch Phrase. I am amazing at this game. Almost too good to be true. It takes me a few minutes to get warmed up but when I am, I basically take control and own this game. We play on teams for a while and break up to play individual for "funsies". Around midnight we know the building is about to close and we all should probably go to bed. Walking back to campus we talk about how much fun we had. This is the time of our lives. Laughing together, playing games together, and just spending time together. The night turned out a lot better than I had planned...considering my plan for Saturday night was to sit in my room watching LOST reruns. I'm exhausted and need to go to sleep but I can't wait for what's going to happen on Sunday. Hopefully every weekend will be as amazing as this one. I wouldn't mind doing it all again. :)

Summertime and the Living is Easy!
Well! 5 week break is over. It's official. What did I do over the break? A whole lot of nothing. And it was GREAT! Lots of sunshine, beach, and friends. True, there was some work in there somewhere! haha. I just can't believe it's over! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get back into the swing of things, but my body clock thought differently. I woke myself up at 6:30, got ready, and actually got to the caf at 7:00. Good thing I left around 7:20 to find my classroom because it took me almost the whole 10 minutes. I wandered around the McKay building until I finally stumbled on my classroom on accident. Thank goodness for that. I have to admit I'm so excited for my English class. Real English books!!!! It can't be worse than my other class. True, we're reading a book a week practically but it's great stuff. Super duper pumped. My music class is going to be interesting. Fingers crossed that I have the ability to test out of it. If I can't...I'll just be the nerdy kid who knows everything. The other awesome thing is NO classes Tuesdays and Thursdays! I get to spend them reading for my English class. Sounds good to me! I'm extremely optimistic about this 6 week semester. It's going to be great. Wish me luck! :D
